Health Issues
If you were to get sick in the ancient times, you would want to be in Egypt. The Ancient Egyptians chances of survival were much higher than other civilisations mainly due to the fact that they pursued medicine from their fears of diseases. Like every other civilisation it still got many sicknesses, some which wiped are large majority of the population, but from religion practises, and a bit of science, they were able to survive for a long time. They experienced injuries from there environment like stings and bites while catching diseases from water, mosquitoes, food and other factors. The main way they thought they got sick was from evil gods looking upon them and had to cleanse their body, mind and soul for the person to get better. They prayed to gods, especially to the goddess of healing- Sekhmet, to help forgive them of their sins and make them feel better again. Ancient Egyptian thoughts on medical practises had helped shaped the view to medicine throughout history.
